This is the first year of the Rooters program which means it's also the first for the 'Rooter of the Year' award. The staff votes for one Rooter to be named "Rooter of the year." The chosen rooter is one who throughout the week demonstrates qualities of leadership, cheerfully takes on responsibilities, shows God's love to others through service, and continues to grow in their own faith.

2009 - Shawn Loughlin Shawn Loughlin has the well deserved honor of being the first Rooter of the Year award winner. He has a giving and generous heart. He brought his own boat to camp and then gave up his free time every day to tow tubers. Shawn even came early to camp to help the staff setup. He took on responsibilities throughout the week and did so with a cheerful and Christ-like attitude. His ability to see something that needs to be done and then doing it is admirable and made Shawn a blessing to have at camp. Congratulations Shawn! |
